Join us to celebrate our marriage

Orua Sea Grotto, 100 Link Road, Hahei
At 3.30pm

  • Summer Cocktail

We’d love for everyone to wear cocktail or semi-formal attire - something a bit dressy, but comfortable enough to enjoy the festivities. In keeping with tradition, we kindly ask guests to avoid wearing white.

  • Your presence on our special day is truly the greatest gift we could ask for.

If you wish to give something additional, a small wishing well will be available for cards.

  • A range of beautiful accommodation options are available in both Hahei and Cooks Beach, all within a short distance of the venue.

For ease and comfort on the wedding day, we recommend staying in either location, as our wedding buses will be collecting and dropping off from both areas.

For those travelling in groups or looking for a range of options, we suggest:

    • Hahei Beach Resort

    • Cooks Beach Resort

    • Flaxmill Bay Accommodation

You can also explore Airbnb, Booking.com, or Stayz for private homes. We recommend booking early, as this is a popular destination and accommodation can fill quickly.

  • As public transport in the area is limited, shuttle buses will be provided for guest convenience.

Buses will operate from both Hahei and Cooks Beach, with collection prior to the ceremony and return services from 10.30pm, running approximately every 30 minutes.

Each location will have a designated pick-up and drop-off point, with further details to be shared closer to the day.

If you plan to use the shuttle service, we kindly ask that you indicate this when RSVPing.

For those who prefer to drive, the venue is a short distance from both locations, with parking available on site.

  • While we absolutely adore your little ones, this will be an adults-only celebration.
We hope you can relax and enjoy a special evening with us.

  • What if I have dietary requirements?
Please let us know when you RSVP so we can cater for you accordingly.

    Will drinks be provided?
A selection of drinks will be provided throughout the celebration. As the venue is BYO, you’re very welcome to bring along any personal favourites as well.

    What time should I arrive?
We recommend arriving with plenty of time to settle in and soak in the coastal views. Exact timings will be confirmed closer to the day.

  • For those planning to enjoy the area a little longer, there are so many beautiful spots to explore around Cooks Beach, Hahei, and the wider region.

We’ve shared some of our favourite recommendations below to help you make the most of your time here.

    Cathedral Cove
A must-see while you’re here, stunning coastal views and crystal-clear water.
You can access it by boat, kayak, or via a scenic walk from Hahei.

    Hahei Beach
Perfect for a slow morning or afternoon unwind. A beautiful spot to swim, relax, and take in the views.

    Hot Water Beach
A unique local experience, dig your own natural hot pool in the sand at low tide.

    The Lost Spring, Whitianga
If you’re after a little pampering, this is the perfect place to relax and recharge.

    Mercury Bay Estate Winery
A lovely spot for a long lunch, wine tasting, and taking in the surrounding views.

    Luke’s Kitchen, Kuaotunu
One of our absolute favourites 🤍
A relaxed and delicious spot by the beach, perfect for pizza, drinks, and good company.

We feel so grateful that many of you are travelling to celebrate this special time with us, and would love to continue the celebrations beyond the wedding day.
